Some friends and I came down last week for fishing and football. It rained pretty much every hour we were there except for the actual fishing. This was my first time targeting reds or specs, and we all had an absolute blast.

You boys native to that part of the country have something pretty special. I'm quite jealous. I'll trade a turkey hunt with anyone willing to come up to N. MS or Middle TN anytime you want.

We also went to the game in BR Saturday night. Like always, nothing but great interactions all day. Good folks, good food... and bad football from one team. Sorry about that. Anyway, here are a few pictures I thought I'd share:

yall had a charter or targeted them on your own? Pretty impressive if yall chased and found them on your own without any saltwater experience

Charter. We would've been lost within 15 minutes running those channels.

I've always wanted a nice camera. Throughout the years, I've always taken mental snapshots of stuff I thought would make good photos. Phones got better along the way, and I've gotten some good stuff with those. However, when my second son arrived I had to get something legit to capture as many moments as I could with them. Coincidentally, it's really nice to have on trips like these. I'm glad I went ahead and got it.

For anyone that cares, I'm using an Olympus OMD-EM5 MK II. 17mm lens in the pics above.

Thanks for all the compliments.
