Came off the roost fired up. Seen him all year with about 15 hens. It's finally right out here. Sustained 20 mile winds, almost didn't go this morning. Kenedy, Tx

Congrats! This season has been a bit of a letdown for me. I managed to tag out in FL but didnt get to hunt nearly as much as I wanted to. Usually I get to hunt alongside a few others who are trying to fill tags. That didnt happen this year as friends were busy and I also lost access to my favorite hunting spot.

On the bright side, I leave Saturday for 5 full days of hunting in Kansas and Nebraska. With a little luck I'll add a few Rios and Merriams to my season haul.

Damn, what were the measurements on those spurs? Those are fine. Thanks everybody, that's about the 10th hunt this season with being bothered by numerous jakes coyotes and pigs. There were no less that 10 coyotes running through my field at daybreak as well. That will change over the summer.

One bird had 1 3/8", the other was damn near 1.5". I think we finally settled on 1 15/32" on him as the "official" measurement. They died about 0.2 seconds apart.
