Do what I do. Make a new email address and get the 10% off your first order at American legacy lol.

But yeah, the shimano price increases hurt. I sold off a bunch of Mets that I could of gotten more for now.

I'm not above that, but g loomis, shimano and st croix are exempt from the 10% off. Otherwise, that PA would be mine.

Don't suppose this is like the TW sale where they say it doesn't apply to shimano but when you order it really does?

I didn't know there was such thing as a $350 rod. Include me in the poor category. Gotta have that 1000 dollar rod to pull the 2 pound bucket mouths up on the bass cat son. Them green trout are harder to hook than a musky and pull like a pissed off jack crevall , 350 ain’t gonna work.

I just checked my last orders. I’ve gotten tons of Daiwa and shimano and the code works fine.

Use PayPal and the discount will show before you actually pay.

For the price range the Kistler Helium is the best IMO. Lots of great options these days but that is a fantastic rod.

Have you tried them since they stopped using the NFC blanks and now have their own line of Japanese toray blanks? Haven't found many reviews on the mew blanks.

If I am spending over $100 on a rod it is going to be custom. That said, I just picked up a Falcon rod for $90 that is fantastic. Sure I have a $260 reel on it, so if you want to spend $350 go for it.

Yes, by every metric imaginable. Normally every $50 should go up in price point you feel a very noticeable difference. After about $200 you can start hitting a point of diminishing returns.

Go buy a $100+ rod or borrow a friend's for a few hour then pick up your cheap crap. You won't want to fish with it anymore.

There is a HUGE difference between $20 $50 and $100. I find there is much less difference between $100 and $350.

I have the 7'2 mh expride and it is my absolute favorite. I'm looking to pick up a few more in other actions. Another option would be to look at the megabass levante. Looks like the brailist would suit your needs. I have the perfect pitch and like it a lot for midsize jigs. If you want a step up, I think the orochi's would suit you well.

Honest question. Can y’all posters suggesting custom provide names and information of guys that can actually get premium blanks, get the action I want, high quality guides, handles, etc. Do a great job on wraps, fit and finish, etc. And do all this for $350?

I’ve only spec’d out one custom rod and the price I got back was a joke.

You can get a Sarge Custom rod in the $400-500 range, only one I’m aware of.

I have a “The Priest” from him for wade fishing and I couldn’t recommend it more. The rod weighs 2 oz

LINK

ETA: You pick from his general list of blanks and you can customize the real seat, guides, colors, etc.

Coco, you better hurry up and buy this: LINK

If it’s still available in the morning, I’m buying it.

For inshore not bass but you get the idea

Laguna

Fishing Tackle Unlimited - They build their own rods (I have one and love it) also they will custom build you one

Waterloo

Sarge Custom

These are almost exclusively built toward wade fishing for trout. There are many other builders that specialize in a wider variety of offerings. There will be custom builders for bass rods.

I didn’t get it.

Rod didn’t even last three hours. Now I’m kicking myself. I literally refreshed and saw it come up right when it was posted.
