The planter tractor in the ditch and the case in the lake both have Auto Trac. I'd almost guarantee those dudes fell asleep.

I used to sell/install Trimble Autopilots before I got the job that I am at presently. I had a couple guys tell horror stories of that happening. They have loud arse beepers on them to warn you of the row ending but most people get tired of hearing it and remove the beeper. Then pay the price.

Steiger cougar in pic #10. I've had one cutting chest deep ruts on Richland plantation. We had a combine down and needed to get the rice off the combine before trying to pull it out. The whole mess was a shitshow! I never got into "mud digging" after working in the unforgiving arse gumbo of nawf Louisiana.

Those look familiar...

I've put a JD 4720 sprayer in a canal before.

Trying to line up for the next pass, backed up into a washout, and boom...in the water.

I think anybody who has been in the seat much has had a pucker moment. I lost my dad in a tractor mishap. And like somebody previously posted if you have an older model spend the money and put a rollover bar on it.

We have 3 tractors with GreenStar. Two of them are pretty loud, but one of them you can barely hear. We had a guy on the one with the quiet beeper, and he ran off in a ditch. Luckily, the ditch was fairly dry and it wasn't a severe bank on the ditch. He woke up about the time the front tires hit the bottom.

When you spend 14-16 hours a day in that cab, it becomes easy to fall asleep.

I'm often surprised there aren't more accidents.

There are plenty enough.

Like you said, 14hrs of watching that thing roll will knock you out.

couple notes...

Footloose.
Tornadoes in mid west dont F around.
Stupid people often are farm hands.
Stupid buck deer is stupid.
Dont work groud wet.
Even farmers text and drive.

That's all I got.

Quick story... we had this black guy working for us laying cotton by.. apparently he got drunk or was drunk when he got there.. passed out on tractor took out a power pole ramped the road and went off in a decent sized ditch that took 2 other tractors to pull out.

Dad was pissed.
He gone.

I spent 14 hours on a tractor the day Conway Twitty passed. Don't get me wrong, I always liked Conway as much as the next guy. That was a bad day. I hated the sum beach before the sun went down.

those cant all be operator error, some must be the result of tornados. and the harvester with the buck caught in it must be pretty fast..

The combine with the deer is the newer new holland with a twin turbo. It will fly through corn but has terrible after growth on the field
