Been thinking of becoming a member of DU. Is the $35 membership worth it?
Would like to hear what you guys think of DU. What are the pros/cons? What kind of benefits do you get being a member?
Thanks!

Doesn't the money help out with the sport? It shouldn't have to benefit you directly. Such a obamabot mentality

Yeah it's worth it. Get their magazine 6 times a year and your money goes to help the sport.

Go the the banquets, get drunk fed, and a membership all in one. Be careful though your liable to get drunk think your rich and start loosing your arse in the auction.

Im sponsor of both DU and Delta. I support most organizations that support guns, hunting, & fishing. Personnally dont do it for my benefit..... But for what little I can contribute to the greater good.
As far as a $35 membership - u will get a magazine and a ticket to your local chapter banquet.... Drinks, food, opportunity to purchase/win merchandise.
Benefit you directly? Depends

Thanks for the input everyone.
My main objective in joining would be to support the sport, not myself. I was just curious what the membership would include with my donation.

The mission of Ducks Unlimited is to fulfill the annual life cycle needs of waterfowl by generation of the capital necessary to protect, enhance, restore, and manage important wetlands and associated uplands.
No organization does more to put ducks in the air than DU.

The benefit is hoping you can help preserve wetlands which should mean more ducks. Stick around long enough and you will see cry babies complaining that DU has put nets up to keep ducks from flying South. These are the same folks that bitch because "skybusters" have the ducks blind shy instead of properly hiding their blind. If a duck doesn't know you are there he can not be shy of you.

The best part of dU is the tax write offs. Those big arse nets are killing us down here though

Du puts more ducks in the air and the feeds them so their big money guys can keep hunting big numbers up north the entire season. Would spend my 35$ on another box of shells. Thats my 2 cents

If it wasn't for one of those high roller donors dumping 1k of grain daily Choirboy wouldn't kill a tenth of the birds he does.
