Surely some of you baws were out and about this weekend and saw some new birds.

I got reports from Delacroix, Chef pass area and Grand Chenier of new birds. Also saw a nice wad of specks near Roanoke Saturday morning

Gettin close!

I was in the Rigolets area yesterday. Saw just one flock of about 8 big ducks and 4 teal, was out from about 9 AM to 1 PM.

Not in LA but in the Winnie area of SE TX, more teal showed up last week with the front and that full moon along with some nice wads of Pintails and Greys. A few Specks here or there.

Went to do some work on our blinds in the Cenla area south of Lecompte and we had around 500 birds on a few of our fields. Greys, blue and green wing teal and the always present Spoonys. November 19th cannot get here quick enough

Geese have been flying since the cold front. Havn't seen many ducks, but there's not much water right now. Gonna cost out the arse to flood fields if we don't get some rain..

It's generally the best in Mecca when every field isn't flooded although you can burn them out real quick.

Banking on this, sure helps us as marsh hunters. No water in the fields? Come onnnnnnnnnnnnnnn downnnnnnn
Pretty fired up about the ongoing drought in much of Miss,e specially north and NW Miss. Plenty of La and Arky abnormally dry as well

Was fishing in Bourg yesterday afternoon - saw at least 1500 coot and 300 ducks in Lake Long.

Got my juices flowing

I was in Gulf shores a week or so ago fishing around that small cut to little lagoon. Had a nice little group (20-25) of blue wing fly right over the top of us...heading out over the gulf. Never expected to see that.
