We’ve been doing heartgard and frontline each month for years on our dogs, but just wondering if there is a better alternative. A chewable or shot that does everything?

Go buy the active ingredient at Tractor supply and figure out the correct dosage for your dog. $30 bottle will last you years

Ivomec. 1 drop per month. It will expire well before you use the bottle.

Ivermectin injectable given at 0.1 ml per 10 lbs. I give an extra .1-.2 mms for dogs greater than 50 lbs.

Proheart shot every 6 months for Heartworm and bravecto pill every 3 months for flea and tick, thats about as low maintenance as you will get. You'll read articles about dogs having seizures or issues with just about every product on the market, just have to take your chances bc they all have potential side effects.

Trifexis Kills Fleas, Prevents Heartworm, and Controls Intestinal Parasites. Give it to my dog (left) monthly.

Two on Triflexis, one on Heartguard. Annual cost for three with all the shots, yearly vet visit, and heartworm protection is around 1000.00. Wish one of my grandkids was a vet.

they offer a 1 year shot now too, the vet was telling me about it friday. We're going to do heartguard for the first year since he's too small now and then flip to that afterwards.
