Pro tip-when your field freezes, your birds are on deep water.

We are not froze up, a lot less birds than yesterday and they are still mashing birds in OK/KS.

Killed my first ducks that weren't either teal or spoons this morning. One grey and two wigeon. Should have been more greys, but I screwed up a bit.

Always good to whack some American wigeons. One of my favorites

Just got into some mallars at 11:40. Killed a single mallard earlier, not seeing much but flights of pelican s.

My Dad and his good friend started a 3 day hunt in St Paul, KS yesterday morning. They did not fire a shot during the morning hunt and 7 guns took 3 geese and 1 mallard yesterday afternoon.
He called last night and said they didn’t even see geese in fields anywhere during the day yesterday. They left Kansas headed back to LA at 5:30 this morning. He said it was the coldest he’s ever been and wasn’t returning to Kansas ever again unless one of his immediate family members were there on their death bed for some reason.

My son hunted AR not too far from Stuttgart this morning.
Said they saw a ton of birds but that they were all high and headed south.
Never fired a shot.

The trip I had to miss in OK probably 45min south of the KS border. Killed 55 Fri and 75 Saturday afternoon.

Hunted a high dollar operation East of Monroe, LA this morning. 6 man limit and 10 Specks. No Mallards though. Arse loads of ducks on the move. Probably one of the biggest flight pushes I have seen in years.

They are moving on this front. I hunt the river south of Vicksburg. At 1pm the mallards started showing up in large groups. Had one group fall in from about 600 feet they never even made a pass.
It’s been a long time since I have seen this many mallards riding the front side of a weather front.

We thought about hunting in the AM but today was so bad we called it. Probably can't fit another duck on the ponds knowing my luck.

Hunted Terrebonne parish and the ringneck assault continued. Lots of ducks in the area. Lots of big birds as well, but hard to contend with thousands of coot.

If this front doesn’t move ducks down, y’all might as well sell all your shite

There is definitely a strong push. It was literally hundreds all morning jetting North to South in the ozone. We got many to work but these high flocks were riding the North. wind with no intent of coming down. Thing is how far do they go? I imagine South LA is about to be loaded.

Will be fishing the holly beach marsh tomorrow afternoon and I’ll give y’all an update from the water if they arrive.

Just walked outside and heard some geese. Maybe this will finally get those ducks out of the flooded corn fields up north.
