Somebody will have him on camera soon. Pretty sweet until it eats a pet.

I know big cat threads are a running joke around here, but that is absolutely a big cat.

Sometimes wild animals wander out of their typical range. Bull Sharks have been caught in Illinois as a frame of reference. That’s over 700 miles up river. Stealthy cats that are small in number are going to be elusive. Most people never see them because there just aren’t many around in this area, like Jaguars in the Southwest. My dad and I saw one cross the road in front of us in the mid 90s in southeast Alabama. They’re out there.

I think it's a big cat too. I think the absence of a tail is just bad luck on pic timing. The body is too long for a bobcat.

One was killed in Bossier a few years ago on the Red River. They did dna on it and it came from a wild population near New Mexico. It was a young male and they assumed it had been wandering down river looking to find it's own territory. The red comes from way up in the TX panhandle.

That one was on our lease, I saw the trail cam pick and know the guy who owned it. It was legit for sure

I believe there are big cats here, i don't doubt that. I'd want to see the tail first. I spend a ton of time in the woods and have seen many bobcats. I had one fool me last year. i caught a glimpse of him in a thicket and was swearing he was a big cat. it ended up coming right under me and it was a big bobcat.

I'm not joking about him being right under me.

It amazes me how pictures like this pop up and not one of them are ever clear. I seen a video of two chicks at the prop stop that was taken from the back of the group. Looked like it was in HD.

As you shouldn't. LDWF has confirmed multiple cougar sightings in the last several years.

Now, just as a general statement and not directed at celltech, I've never understood why there are people that deny ANY big cat sighting in LA. There are most definitely cougars sighted in Louisiana. However, there are no PROVEN sightings of "black panthers". Why? Because there has never been a proven case of melanism in Puma concolor.
