Is that a farm house or a deer stand?

Are there any other reasons to get it off the ground?

Where I live the deer flies will tear you up non-stop at ground level. 15 feet off the ground I've never been bit.

I like the concept though. Think about it from deer perspective- too obvious so has to be ok.

When several deer are around my feeder, you can see and single them out when elevated. Looking from a ground blind and you can only see the ones in front. They can inhibit your shot too.

Got the door frame in tonight. Going to pickup some solar panels tomorrow and figure out how to wire them in. Hope to have it insulated and enclosed by Friday

Nah, good point. I'm talking about the front and back porches of a house on pilings. I never used my screen room because the biting bugs don't come up that far off the ground.

Haven't had much time with this project but did some work today

Got some plywood up and the roof on. Sealed roof in and then caulked the baseboards. Tomorrow going to finish plywood and cut/frame the windows. Lot of work but it's enjoyable

Some folks camps aren't built and sealed that well. Guess you won't have to worry about wasps in there every October. Gonna put central AC and heat in there?

We make them light weight. Couple videos of how we get them in the air.

Looks like one of those "Live in" deer stands. Made for all day and night hunting. Sleep there, wake up and look out the window for the deer. I like it!
