I would have shot the doe's legs off and then mauled the fawn in front of her eyes.

sucks for the dog but what did they think was going to happen?

This is probably in a neighborhood where people are against hunting deer. haha.

Mule deer don't screw around.
Probably filmed in Boulder or Aspen or maybe even Jackson Hole. Would explain the hysteria.

Yes, that is an old video.

Still a good one to watch. I would have shot the doe.

In a neighborhood? Doubtful.

The deer saw a predator and took action. Not her fault the dog didn't have it's head on a swivel.

You'd be within the law shooting that deer to protect the dog. The frustrating part would be not being able to remove the backstraps.

Watched a doe chase our cairn terrier in the back yard. Cairn first ran at the doe yelping. Doe ran a little ways then turned around and ran at the terrier. Terrier took off and never bothered that doe again. One or two does now wander in the yard from time to time and the cairn just lays down and watches.

Damn, that dog got a beat down. Could have been a black coyote on the prowl for all she knows.
