Dear dude at the ammo counter . . .

I am just here to get a box of steel shot to make sure I have enough for this weekend (wishful thinking). I know you are almost definitely out of 9mm. I know everybody and their momma is out trying to buy some. You have cases of .40 sitting around collecting dust. I just thought I would ask while I was here. Maybe you had received a new shipment.
So a-hole, I don't need a derisive "not what you are looking for". I also didn't need a lecture about how everyone is looking for 9mm. I was here so I just thought I would ask. Sorry to take you away from you otherwise excitement filled day.

I hear ya but in their defense, I was in Academy last week and the poor bastard behind the gun counter looked like he hadn't slept in a week.

where are yall seeing all of this .40S&W sitting around i can't find any around my area?
the only thing i've seen in walmart or academy is shotgun sheels or .380.

Literally cases of it at TP. Stacked up with the shotgun shells out on the floor.
I estimate about 15-20 unopened cases. Cheap stuff, but still.

Nope, I said "cheap stuff" because it was the 100 round boxes and didn't look "high dollar". Didn't look at the price because I wasn't looking for .40.

I haven't seen ANY .40 in Shreveport. Now .45 acp is all over the place.
