Annual sunrise variance of 17 minutes. I wouldn’t mind that either.

Pick one or the other; just stick to same time all year round. Not a big deal as many idiots are making it out to be.

Standard time sucks. Dark in the winter at 4:15 in the afternoon. This is when we need daylight savings most of all.
DST year round is the best option. Actually have daylight until 9-9:30 in the summer to mow the yard, work outside, golf in the evening after work, etc. Make it standard time year round and it will get dark here at 8:15 pm in the summer. Screw that.

DST is the best option for you, but not for me. I like earlier sunsets and earlier sunrise because I prefer to do things in the morning before work.
The best compromise is to leave it like it is, it amazes me how much adults over react to moving a clock 1 hour twice a year.
Or we do like the rest of the world that has chosen one and make STANDARD time the standard

Again, just meet in the middle at 30 mins.

The only time I don’t like it is fall & winter because it cheats me out of an hour of fishing in the morning.

Well I like to hunt after work.

No, it isn't.
Standard time works better with our natural clocks, circadian rhythms are a real thing and align with standard time, its medically proven.
It will still get dark near 8pm in summer on standard time but it wont be dark till after 8 am in winter like it would be on DST.

No, it isn't

You're right it's not really close. Scientifically it isn't even close that we as humans perform better in standard time.

Sleep scientists and circadian researchers generally favor permanent standard time over permanent daylight saving time — and this isn't really a close call in the research community

I couldn't care less about that. I'm miserable during Standard time.
