What a youth hunt, I told them and their dad they may never top that accomplishment. So happy I was there to be a part of it.

yall should be overrun with deer right now, there are thousands wandering around fields that did not get planted due to last years flood just southwest of you.

Port Gibson

I have family that owns a huge tract of land there and they take a few absolute studs off of it.

I thought the same thing. But we're not. Everything west of us is flooded. But we don't have the deer we've had in years past. Our habitat has really taken a hit. We are gonna need some timber thinning on top of a couple of years of normal river in order to see a rebound.

My neighbor (may he be unnamed) put a high fence up from the front of his house to our line and every deer on his place is walking through our fields right now, some of them are rather impressive.

You seeing any rutting activity? We were at our place last week in Magee which should be past the rut and saw more activity then we had all season.

Buddy is in Natchez right now and seeing lots of mature bucks chasing including the largest he has ever seen on his property.

Weird year.
