How a Utah company caused an uproar with a gun covered in Legos to look like a toy
SALT LAKE CITY – A Utah company has stopped selling a kit that encases Glock handguns in Lego blocks after the Danish toy maker sent it a cease-and-desist letter at the urging of gun control activists.
Provo-based Culper Precision started marketing the "Block19" about a week ago as a "childhood dream come to life." The company customizes, builds, and modifies firearms and firearm accessories. The kit, which sold for $549 to $765, refashioned the lethal weapon with red, yellow, and blue brick to look like a children's toy.

Heard about this on the radio this morning.
People are too damn sensitive. The same people who are outraged by this are most likely the same ones who support a 5 year old's decision to undergo a "gender reassignment"

I am not sure I agree with that. Wouldn’t want that in the house with young kids. While I can appreciate the humor and novelty I just think it unwise.

Wouldn’t want that in the house with young kids.

Well of course you can but I don’t see the use in owning a firearm that looks like a kids toy

And I'm not one for companies selling airsoft, BB and/or pellet guns that look so damn real.

They definitely only support certain rights that they approve of, not all unalienable rights

That's not what my post was about, no serious conservative is fricking around with LEGO blocks, we're stocking up on ammo and gun parts. It's a game for ANTIFA, it's not a game for us.

Because it's the same people with the same hurt feelings

Hot take. Guns have been being modified and made pretty since the first one was made. Look at engravers, custom gunsmiths and the cerakote market. To say they all need to be dull black with rubber grips would be to destroy the entire collectors market.

I'm not close to being outraged by it.
But anyone failing to see how terribly bad of an idea it is... has an extremely narrow focus.
Just a really bad idea.

I don’t think that this is marketed towards parents. I think it’s a collectors piece so it would stay locked in a safe or in a display case separately from ammunition. Even if it was used regularly or if a parent buys it, it should still be locked and left unloaded like all guns should be when not in use

Most People don’t need to have their cars moddified for racing, but they do. Regardless of weather or not I would modify my gun like that or my car, I would teach my kid how to drive careful and about gun safety. I don’t think it’s bad as long as u educate your kids.

I don’t think thats what they are doing. People make cars look like toys and cartoons but they people still know and teach their children that cars aren’t toys.

I think you are being narrow minded by saying that. At least half of the people defending this gun are the ones who lock up their guns unloaded, would probably only have it as a collectors item, know about gun safety, and if they have kids would teach their children about gun safety. If you have kids and haven’t taught them about gun safety and about respect for guns, then you shouldn’t have this. But most of these people would educate their children and use proper gun safety with this gun.
