It's time to upgrade/replace the ole single jet burner crawfish pot. I busted it out this weekend and its beginning to show its age, I'd also like something that heats the water faster. I think the double jet burner would do it:

double jet

But I've been thinking about upgrading too:

all in one

And this one claims 200,000 BTU of heat

200000 BTU

Any feedback from the OB

The double jet works great. You can up grade the regulator to a 60psi one and it will be like a space shuttle take off

I upgraded to the double jet last year and I wish I would have done it years ago. It cut my time to boil by more than half. I do have a large pot also.

I've got number one.

I like it. 15 minutes and your burlin'.

Oh and another thing. 15 minutes with a 30 psi regulator. You really don't need anything more than that.

I like my bayou classic banjo burner . Not noisy and have had no issues with it . Boil time is not a challenge as it allows me time to drink another white can .

Find the baw in gonzales that welds them himself if he's still on FB market. He let me pick whatever design I wanted for the legs and he cut it on a CNC then welded it up with a double burner and painted it for $100. It's super heavy duty.

Bayou classic stainless double jet burner with an upgraded 60 psi regulator and removed safety valve. I’ve had mine for years. After about 5 years, the green safety thing started randomly shutting down on me. Replaced the stock regulator with a 60psi one, then added a basic tank fitting. No problems since.

This is the most important part of a crawfish burner.

I have both a banjo and a jet burner. Go jet for boiling. Banjo for frying.

Be wary of the BTU ratings. This is strictly a measurement of the amount of fuel used. It is not a rating of heat output.

Also be wary of the idea that changing the PSI is going to drastically change the heat output. Doubling the PSI only gets you 1.4x (40% increase) the fuel throughput (given the same orifice size) which likely gives you even less of an increase in heat output. You need 4 times the PSI to double the fuel output of the burner.

Burner efficiency is also problematic as the 800,000 btu rating shows. If you were truly getting 800,000 btu into the water in a completely full 80 qt pot, you would be able to go from straight out of the tap temp to boiling temp in a little over two minutes. Half full, you could get to boiling temp in a little over one minute.

I'll second this...check the PSI on your regulator...typically the base model burners found at sporting goods stores use a worthless 7.5 PSI regulator. You can't get the empty pot to boil in a decent amount of time with that, much less after you've dropped a sack in. I upgraded to a 30 PSI and it made all the difference in the world. I've even seen 60 PSI for sale. Now, your gas consumption might go up a bit...

I use an old school needle valve on a a double jet.
I timed mine last weekend on my 100qt rocket pot.
Water, with onions taters garlic and lemons was rolling in under 8 minutes from lighting the fire.
This setup boils water so fast that I have to boil my veggies for about 10 minutes before I put my crawfish in.

I currently have the double jet in the first link the OP posted. I am about to upgrade to a stainless double jet. The non stainless one worked fine for a few years but now it is nothing but problems. The inside of the gas supply tube corrodes bad and fills up with rust particles. The particles are constantly partially clogging the jets in the brass fittings. Have to take them off, clean everything out, etc. Even when you clean them out, you go to fire it up and the smallest thing left in the tube clogs it again.
