Whitetail deer are owned by the state. Fencing in should be illegal.

don’t understand all the fuss about banning feeding

Concentrating all the mouths of wild animals into a tiny little pile is going to facilitate spread of diseases.

Not to mention it alters their behavior patterns dramatically.

Deer are going to congregate under acorn trees, in soybean fields, in food plots. There is no stopping that.

This is comparing people who eat at the same table to people who pass around the same spoon.

His mature bucks weight averages have dropped to 190# and mature doe down to 100#.

So, the natural size they should be for that species in that area?

Don't care.

It was in Blackhawk. I found out from someone who knows the people out there.

The other dark rumor is that it's in the WMA. People have been getting trail cam photos, myself included, of sick deer for a couple years now.

No it’s not. They lick the same scrape branch, drink out of the same water holes, I could keep going.
No that’s not the normal size for this area

So who cares about all these people and their families. It’s like it’s your way or no way. Sorry but your wrong

It’s a lost cause. Bait is a drug. It’s addictive and, in some cases, makes the addict incapable of reason.

This is not nearly the same thing as eating out of the same pile. Not even remotely close. You ever got a trail camera picture of 8 deer licking the same twig for 2 straight hours?

Correct. I am far more intelligent than the average coonass and I should be appointed king of the south.

They could sprout and sell fruit trees. Sell more foodplot seed and fertilizer.

I guarantee they’d make more money than selling pallets of a commodity like corn with zero profit margins.

I don't wish ill business fortune on many people, but it's not a relevant argument here. Whether or not feed piles contributes to the spread of CWD is worthy of discussion. A feed store's business case is not.

Personally, I'd love for bait broadcasting or piling and high fences to be done away with without government involvement. I can't make it happen within my own clubs so it's a pipe dream. We coonasses are addicted to the bait pile.

It’s also bullshite. I know of many deer taken w/in the bait ban area that were 240 lbs plus. Stop spreading false info.

“It’s not hunting anyway”

You sanctimonius pricks are a pain in the arse.Anyone doesn’t hunt the way you do is a derelict pussy.
I’ll bet you’re. Democrap and voted for Cackles.

I once even had someone try to chastise me for hunting out of a climbing stand and using a high power rifle,”it wasn’t fair, deer couldn’t see up in trees”Went on to suggest the fair way would be to stalk them with a bow and arrows, like the Indians.
Total bullshite,Indians killed deer all minds of ways. They used snares, pits for them to fall into, large man drives to chase them into funnel shaped corrals where they were speared to death.
Their favorite technique for buffalos, was to stampede them over cliffs.Probably did the same for prairie mule deer and elk.
The pioneers made blinds and shot deer at salt licks, jack lighting was a favorite technique.
I’m sure when percussion rifles came out there were judgemental assholes saying that real hunters used flintlocks.
In Europe they hunt in deer blinds and shoot deer at night by the full moon. That’s where 30 mm scope tubes and 56 mm objectives come from.

Busy bodies should just hunt the way they wish and quit worrying about the way others hunt.

The Boone and Crockett Club, which is the oldest hunting conservation club in North America, says that shooting game inside a high fence is not fair chase.
Enclosure shooting isn’t just another style of hunting such as dog, bow, rifle, etc.

Agreed, once a fence is involved it’s NOT hunting. Don’t care how big the ENCLOSURE is, doesn’t make a difference, it’s not hunting cause everything is in a controlled enviroment.
Zero predators, zero hogs competing for food, zero pressure from Billy Bob smoking or spitting dip spit all over ground.

While I’m not 100% sure, my gut tells me that if baiting was outlawed, the hunting statewide would get better.

It appears that a lot of deer visiting these bait piles do so at night.

Nobody spreading False information on my part, I would put the guys name on here because I’m sure he is well known but I don’t think he would like that. His mature bucks are averaging 190# now.

It does not matter if it’s at the same time or 2 days apart. They say CWD does not go away so that does not matter!

Not at all. I have about 1200 acres that I own. I’m also in a club that is 12000 acres. Nothing more than a barbed wire fence at either place. No jealousy at all. I want my kids to be able to hunt. Then there kids to hunt. These deer farms created this problem in my opinion.
