It's been a while since we've had one of these? I haven't been since the 4th and was wondering how everyone has been doin since. I know the weather has been hit or miss and I'm ready to get back out.

Loaded up on the rigs just off the islands. Fish live bait with no weights.

Good stuff. I need to make a run to Timbalier soon. This summer has been a huge fail for me in terms of fishing. Haven't been able to get out there as much as I want and it's very frustrating.

Went out that way yesterday afternoon. Caught about 20. Water was pretty stained from whiskey pass to beach point.

Cocodrie. I have no plan. Not my boat. We usually head straight out and fish metal thingies.

Fished some metal thingies a few weeks back. Caught 50ish nice sized ones. Couldn't catch them on artificials though. Get some live shrimp if possible.

Alx just sent me a picture of a redfish, so he didn't get skunked. I'm sure he will report later.

Caught around 40 keepers. Closer to the camp the better. Bay Antwine was good, but lots of small trout. Wasted time trying to find some spot by last island. Metal thingies had no trout. Birds was the best pattern.

They really did not want larsh, and we could not find shrimp. I caught all mine on Zoom spinnerbait trailers in Silver Rainbow and Chartruse Glitter.

Oh, and I hoisted,

Wasn't very clear until close to the island. Clear enough to get bites if around fish though.

Lots, that bish was slippery and they have no handles.

I wish we would have videoed the bird catch. Dumb arse gull/tern got caught up in some line after a cast. Had to net him to get it loose. The entire bird crew hovered over the boat squawking like mad. It looked like The Birds.
