Food is horrible, zero entertainment, horrible management. Why can’t they get it right?

I'm sure it's not easy finding employees

Food used to be good. Is Glover still running the show down there? I haven't been in probably 20 years.

I don’t think the employees are the issue. I was there for the 4th and they had nothing going on. Hell, me and some friends were sitting at the bar and none of the new 8 TVs were even turned on

Eta: and fuel is $3.50 a gallon

It's really kind of a mystery. Tradewinds is a ghost town even on holiday weekends too. Chicken or the egg, I don't think they're raking in the cash to make things more attractive and people don't come because they aren't an attraction. I just get the vibe they have tried in the past and it hasn't really worked, but I have nothing to base that on.

I never found the food horrible. (I mean, it's not great, but it's not terrible either).

My big complaint is that the don't have to-go coffee cups with lids. Ever try to ride in a boat with one of those small styrofoam cups full of ridiculously hot coffee? 2nd degree burn city.

Also, the fact that they dont do much with that back area bar/deck is a shame.

Yeah, aside from having to look at their shitty arse guide boats, it’s a pretty good setup. Again, they just don’t seem to give a shite. I still go in there for a bushwacker from time to time hoping it would be better, but nah. They can’t all be Venice marina I suppose

It is an amazing setup. Every time we go the food and service seem to get worse. We do catch fish though which I guess is all that matters at the end of the day. We originally started going there because the set up was so good.

I had heard that they were just about to close shop when the oil spill happened and that got them flush. Surprised they didn’t close after that.
Did Boudreaux’s ever open back up?

From the early 90’s to mid 2000’s we had two houseboats there. Was a happening place in those days haven’t been back since we were kicked out to make way for land camps. Have heard it isn’t what it used to be though.

I’ve always heard the owner is a big a-hole. He’s ran a lot of influential people out of Coco Marina and shite has gone down hill over the years. A few big rodeos no longer fish out of Coco because of the owner.

I would love to see someone take it over and see it make a comeback.

We had Burgers, fried pickles, onion rings, and Wine Island shrimp there last week. All were quite good. Good setup, good launch if you need it. I shall return. Perhaps white glove service at a seasonal restaurant, in Chauvin, LA, 30 miles from anything will return next year and you can go back and be satisfied.

The launch is crap. thats the first issue. You cannot launch a boat with out stepping in the water.

Second is no live entertainment. A one man acoustic show would be awesome on Saturday nights. Harbor light at least has Don Rich every few weekends.

Service is slow, but not a big issue. I usually dont have anywhere to go.

At least have some music playing, even if it's from a juke box

Also put the shrimp wraps back on the menu
