I used June bugs as bait for catfish and bream at the pond at our old house. Them bastards are tough and can catch multiple bream on one bug.
I'm sure roaches would work fine. Almost like a cricket.

I've never tried to catch a fish on a roach but I bet it would, I don't know if I could bring myself to put one on a hook though.

I hate cockroaches more than anything. I instantly freeze up and have a hard time getting close enough to kill them.

I know for a fact from college that you can microwave one for 10 min on high and the fricker will still come flying out of the thing at you and run back into the community kitchen cabinet cracks.
