Anyone else looking ahead to the weekend yet? Looks to be a shitty weekend for the coastal zone opener. Still going to go but not looking forward to my 15 mile boat ride in the rain. Making meal plans and starting to get equipment ready

As long as it's not lightening, I'll be in the blind. Right that down in your book.

BehindU and i will be tucked up under my canopy top and will hopefully stay dry. Got bombed out by the rain on Saturday while doing some work. Saw way less birds than we did the weekend before. Fingers crossed for a solid opener.

I've waited too long for this. Will hunt through the LSU game if I have to.

I doubt you'll be writing anything down in your checkbook.

Our fields don't need any more water.

I'll be there on Thursday evening and will be hunting no matter the weather likely even lightning although hopefully that's not a decision we have to make.

I can't wait already having trouble focusing on work and it's only Monday.

A little rain is one thing but all that prep and work to get a miserable wet arse to start it off doesn't put this guy in a good mood. I might be whining a bit but after the last two weekends i was hoping for a little bit better weather to kick things off.

Well, I don't hunt as much as I used to but I know we ALWAYS slaughtered them in the rain (ducks, that is. Geese are a different story).

Yeah, that's them guys with the beards, face paint, flat bills, supped up surface drives with drake and gator tail stickers on their rear glass.

Good luck in Venice. Not near as many ducks down as we had for the opener last year. Lack of cold weather I think is going to be the problem. My son and his friend killed limit Saturday and Sunday, but it was mostly teal. Talked to two other hunters and they had about 50-50 between teal and big ducks.
