Changing Your Handgun Sights

I changed out the sights and did an updated video with my trusty Ruger. I strongly suggest any Ruger owners change out your the factory sights to some fiber or night sights. Here's the updated video:

But as far as changing sights, I have bought this little sight tool and it is so damn convenient. It is nice to have a file handy as well to be able to fit the sights properly, which I do have, but this tool is awesome instead of using a brass punch to install sights. If anyone in the Baton Rouge area needs sights swapped out, let me know and I'll help a brother/sister OB'er out. Here I have it mounted in a vise changing out my Ruger sights.

Did you go with a contrasting front sight color, or all red?

Green front, red rear. It was the only choice. I just wanted to get rid of the factory ones. They were WAY too rounded on the top and I couldn't aim as well as with my other sights.
I originally wanted a flat black rear and fiber front and couldn't find it. But what I found out after lining them up with my eyes is that it's easier to shoot with both eyes open with contrasting colors front and rear. It was a neat discovery.
