Snagged one of the better spots at Indian Creek. Got the camper set up last night. Full price until 10/1, then half price for the rest of the month. Fish in - fish out!

Sorry about the crappy pic, but we were in a hurry to get things set before even thinking about pics.

Good looking spot. You rent a whole month at a time?

Yes. It's only a 25 class, and very light pin weight which is my biggest concern with a 1/2 ton. The total weight is nothing in that class for any v-8 really. We do not travel far anyway. TB/Lake Bruin are our longest trips.

Yes, we leave it there for a month since they do a half price deal starting 10/1. We don't actually sleep there all that much. It's maybe a 20 minute drive. Watching football out there on those nice October days outside on an HD tv is one of my joys of Fall.

You aint never lied. Nother better than sippin a cold brew and watching the game outside. It just adds to the experience so much more than being inside.

Woodworth is one of the most notorious speed traps in the USA. If anyone decides to check out Indian Creek, be sure to find the speed limit signs and obey them to the letter. I'm sure most regular visitors know it already, but since there are some Indian Creek newbies on the site, this warning needs to be posted.

Do they still have the (constantly abused) one month limit? Do you have your tag team camper to work with and keep that spot all winter?

14 days, and other than some bikini wearing older woman who has some kind of State connection, they actually enfore it.

They get rid of the 14 day rule on 10/1. It runs all winter. You pay 1/2 price and can stay in the same spot. Not sure when that ends. March maybe? We rarely stay past mid November due to shorter days and cooler temps.

I forgot the details. I'm not a camper, but was dragged into the conflicts there from another direction. I guess it was during the non-winter months that campers would hold their prime spots until their partner showed up to claim the next 14 days. It was a difficult practice to stop and prevented the non-regular campers from ever getting one of those prime spots. I hope they resolved it, so that handful of really beautiful campsites are not "saved" all the time.

i was homeschooled growing up and we would go to Indian Creek for a month + at a time. My brother and I had a 16' bass boat and did a ton of fishing/skiing out there.

We would do our school work after a morning fishing trip, take a nap and then go bike riding or fishing again that afternoon.

Some of my favorite childhood memories are in our camper out there
