Yeah, I think that used to go on. I know of a guy(trucker I think) who basically lived in the first section.

Ever since the rate hike, there has been little competition. I will say though, in all these years of doing this, I have neve had the opportunity to get that one spot on the extreme end of the point. It's one that you can actually cast to deeper water from bank and catch The White Perch at night. When someone leaves, it's snagged within minutes.

I think it's now $18 a night for non-premium and $25 for premium. If that's not right, it's pretty close.

Yea, its $25 for the point and all other sites on the water. $18 for everything else. Thats the daily rate.

The 1/2 price monthly runs through March. I couldnt believe that since its one of the best months to be there.

I got #62(the ellusive point) my first time there. Was very nice.

Only thing I need now is a camper. Do they mind if I put one in the bed of my truck?

You can camp in anything, but do not put a tent out beside a camper. they jump on that shite within an hour of it happening. Not even a play tent that no one could ever sleep in.

We do the play tent for the kids, just take it down at night.
Cant have a little kiddy pool for the kids either. Considered a holding tank.

It's lax overall. There are just a few things they will not tolerate. Compare that with any federal park. Do not touch a blade of grass there with anything.

I've only been called out on the tent one and a fire during a no burn period.

Enjoying the outdoors on a beautiful lake in a state forest is a wonderful thing. But I think that too many campers get bored and spend too much of their stays meddling in the operation of the campgrounds and in the behavior of their frequently too-close-quarter neighbors. Then that boxes the managers in on rules enforcement.

Very few like that overall. You obviously work for them or the state so you know as well. I use to work there and it was only certain people that were asses. thats anywhere you go though. IC is def my favorite place. It was run much better before they ran John off though.

2 hrs. When I worked there, it was on the front page of BR paper as the top campground in the state.

I've heard plenty of people going there, but I've never been myself.

You're right. I'm not trying to run the place down or spoil a good thing for anyone. It's just frustrating how those few asses can force a government-run facility into so many policy conflicts. I can definitely understand why Indian Creek is the favorite of so many, and listed so highly on campground rankings.
