Gents, looking to buy a new 2019 Yamaha Grizzly. May pick one up during the holidays when I am in New Orleans.

What dealerships have the best pricing around SELA and SMiss? I'm driving from Florida so I can stop anywhere on I10 for a good deal.

I've already fired off some emails for internet pricing.

I've had good dealings with the Yamaha place in Gonzales and Hattiesburg Cycle.

Thanks.

Southern MS Powersports just quoted me an awesome OTD deal.

Got my emails out to a bunch of places. We drive from Tampa to New Orleans for the holidays. Bound to find a good deal somewhere along the line.

ATV Zone is about an hour and a half drive from NOLA, but will be well worth it. Russ and the gang push the hell out of their units.

I guess since they sell a ton of bikes, they are able to cut their profit margins on each one lower than most dealers.

They make 100 or take a loss on the unit and pray you buy gap and warranty

OP, why the 2019? It's a return to the single cam 686 motor rather than the twin 708.

About 1 month ago I purchased a Polaris 900XP and the BR dealer was actually about $ 250 lees than the ATV Zone which shocked me. Maybe on some models they able to play the game and lower their price to compete with ATV Zone.

Rando,

2019 Transmission changes and the engine swap to the 686. The 2014 model we have is a strong motor.

I heard feedback the 708 was running hot and valve service earlier than anticipated.

What are your thoughts?

What are they doing with the transmission? Will a manual be available now?

Never encountered the hot issue, I don't mud ride. I will work to go get firewood and what not, but that's it.

As for the valve service, yes and no. They will require seals around 800 hours or so. But that's a looooong time.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer the 686. And the previous chassis. But the twin cam is fun to ride.

I was just curious.

Do not follow Yamahas oil change interval. It is too long for that big single. 50 hours or 1000 miles for most people works fine.

If you're an oil nerd, you can get better oil with the valvoline full syn motorcycle oil. It is cheaper than the yamaha gold bottle and damned close when compared.

But the standard yamalube 10w40 is a serviceable product.

Never again.

The yamaha auto is without peer.

And that's from a guy with a Polaris auto

They lowered the internal gears within the transmission. Not shims at the clutch but the actual gears.

No on the manual. The Ultramatic is bomb proof. Also with Yamaha’s CVT it doesn’t rev up like others to get going due to the constant clutch engagement.
