After all this rain, some new things in the yard. I did one of these scat requests last year, was racoon then. This time it could be multiple animals. The two scats have me confused. One with burs, the other looks canine with hair but not my dog.

Residential neighborhood in EBR.

Burrow, Armadillo? Its difficult to tell but its deep, cant see past 2 to 3'. It is definitely oval shaped more tall than wide.

Dig spot 100ft from burrow

Dig spot 200ft from burrow

Scat 3ft from burrow

Scat 10ft from burrow. There was more and this is not from my dog. 6ft fenced area.

That could only be one thing…an anteater. Can I borrow it when you’re done?

If there is a critter in your yard that is crapping those spiky looking turds in the fourth picture then you need to invest in a flame thrower. Any animal or reptile that can crap oversized cockleburs is one bad mofo.

the burrow is almost certainly an armadillo. They are thick around me right now. We were driving up our little road the other day and there was a mama and about a dozen babies down in the ditch doing their thing in broad daylight

every morning there’s a new dug up spot in my yard somewhere. If they don’t move on soon there will be repercussions

It’s not. Lingering aftertaste.
Only had it once, in tamales while hunting in Zwolle.

Maybe there were a couple of more "mama's" out of eyesight?

Don’t really remember. Once they told me it was armadillo hot tamales I quit eating. I just remember I could taste it for a long while. Zwolle was known for these, but I’ve had enough.
