“Okay Karen” & “Get off my lawn” & “Your buddy should have known better.”

Go ahead and get those off your chest and realize that you’re not in control of what the other guy on the other side of the truck/trailer is doing.

Sunday I saw a painful event become a near vision disaster. Sorry no pics because we went right into crisis management.

Baw is unstrapping his Milw packout from his truckbed and understands the potential energy of bungee but it still slipped out of fingers….bounced off the packout and slapped his friend on the orb. Not even the strong black ones with the metal s-ring, but a skinny threaded/plastic hook got him good.

Bungees suck as a static strap anyway.

Thank you for reading.
Carry on.

I met a feller a while back who had an eye missing due to a bungee cord. I use ratchet straps now.

My dad knocked a tooth out with a bungee cord one time.

This was an implant so I'm pretty sure that felt extra good.

Had one slip off a 4 wheeler rack and catch me right in the batteries years ago. Haven't looked at a bungie cord the same since.

This is why I've always had paracord/rope handy and the knowledge of a few good knots. Love a truckers hitch.

Titan straps or 550 cord and a few NiteIze Cam Jams are so much easier for smaller stuff. Keep a small tote loaded with those and a roll of electrical tape for bundling shoe mold and the like.

Got a bungee cord to the eye once as I was getting ready to head to blind. Eye went grey for a couple days but vision came back. True story

Still made the duck hunt before going to hospital

I only use them to strap down my yak to the bed extender. They’re the adjustable ones. I’d rather ratchet straps but don’t want to overtighten or pull out the handles.
