I guess we should have asked… are you planning for the most likely scenarios where you’d need to bug out, or the apocalyptic Hollywood style SHTF scenario that everyone on the internet likes to plan for

I travel for work. It’s more of a get back home scenario. I keep med kit, tourniquet, protein bars, etc in it. Started thinking about putting together after I went to Eagle Pass in December.

I carry an Sig P365x macro. You can’t have too many guns in you IMO. Probably going with the 300BO pistol under the back seat and also getting a Glock 19/17.

Like that is so easy. How much did you spend to get prepared
and how much did you save at the same time?

I have over 1000 rds of 300BO ammo probably 600 is subs.

I have too much ammo to fit in the bugout bag lol

The so-called bug out bag shakes the thesis of my arsenal.

I probably have over 30,000 rounds between 12 gauge, 9 mm, 5.56, .270, 6.5 CM, and 30-06

For f it gets that bad savings don’t matter anymore just what you can carry.

To answer your specific question, Glock 19 as 9mm and 17/19 mags are ubiquitous AND, throw this in the bag and your 19 becomes a solid mid range (50 yards) weapon.

I keep a Kel tec sub 2000 9mm and a Smith &Wesson M&P . Both take the same mags.

Much easier to carry 1000’s of 22 rounds than 9’s.

Has anyone ever tried to see how much .22 they can carry in magazines?

You think about the true SHTF and if you are the guy with 1000 rounds of .22 against a small group rocking 200 rounds of 9mm total it would be an interesting gun fight.

You could throw one of these little Henry rifles in there as well. All the components fit in the butt of the gun and it floats when not put together.

Actually Armalite designed and patented them. James Bond From Russia with Love made them famous.

I've got one of the original 1962 models. It's slicker than owl poop and ultra accurate.

The OB is full of Fudderifics. You mention anything "tactical" and 2/3 of the folks won't even know what you're talking about. Prime example, just make them what a Duty gun is.

Damn they get up when someone mentions a Tikka Bolt action or a Browning shotgun or a Colt revolver, though...

For me SHTF is a great way to market stuff to sell that will probably never be used lol but I'll bite. SHTF & I have no time other than to grab a bag & run choosing from what is in my collection.

Providing that's the case, I'm taking my Kel Tec PMR & CMR with about 4k rounds of 22 WMR. Ammo weighs roughly 9 lbs. per 1,000 rounds. The combo gives me 4 magazines that interchange. I can and do carry the pistol with 3 extra magazines with no effort daily <--120 rounds. I can carry the two Kel-tecs in an LSU back pack with ammo and carry my Marlin bolt gun in hand staying relatively nimble.

I mean this is all in theory right. I have SBR's & AR style stuff that I would leave just because of the amount of ammo I can carry & having the option of three different firearms. My peanut brain says I'll be ok with this combo. Everything and everyone I don't know is a threat, so I'm assuming I will scavenge a weapon in route while trying to beat the high score.

I wanna say I saw the green tip M855 62 grain Federals drop some time yeasterday on Ammo Depot.

I've never heard of a 62 gr Gold Dot .... only the 55s and 75 grains in my recollection.
