I'm being stupid on my phone studying so I'm not going back.

Honestly, if I can make a few bucks off my dog having some desireable sperm, I'd be pretty stupid to not take it.

We must first look at the physical makeup of the dog. It doesn't matter if your dog can fetch a duck from 3 miles away. If he has bad hips, bad eyes, prone to cancer, retrieving is irrelevant. That is not bettering the breed.

From your protocol, Im not so sure you should breed

That's where you are wrong. I don't give a shite what you think of me. I am just passing on knowledge. What you choose to do with it is up to you.

I am all for it. I am not saying you can't, or that people don't make a living off of it. It is not doing a service for the breed. If you don;t give a shite about the breed, carry on.

If your goal is to fetch ducks from 3 miles away, then it kinda is.

I'm pretty sure that by branching away from the people breeding pets and breeding for working traits is bettering the breed that has been so bastardized by people who think floppy eared bloodhounds are cute.

And I clearly stated to feel free to call me an a-hole.

I never said it was. Neither is the right way though. I know it costs money, that why you guys are discounting it. If you don't understand genetics, then oh well.

Knock yourself out. Just know that you are not making the breed any better by doing so.

In a few words, please define "making the breed better".

And what if you are contributing to all of the bad genetics of that breed? I guess it doesn't matter if he can work.

I understand genetics. Have I ever actually studied them no. I raised Purebred cattle growing up and pairing a bull and cow with good genetics is part of the game. You have to have an understanding of it to use it.

Like I said, I'm pretty sure I'm improving the breed with what I have. My dog is better at doing his job than your dog, so my dog carries more desireable traits, so my dog should be bred. It's no different than goin off health. It's all traits and what you see A's desireable.
