What is your set-up?
Climber / lock-on / ladder
I’ll be set up In a lock-on on a point where two bottoms come together, steep ridge on one side bedding area on the other. Water oaks everywhere

For bow season. Lock-on with stick ladder. Youngish hardwood flat, 40 yards from a few acres of pine thicket nearish to a river/creek.

Summit Viper SD. If there is a tree that works for me it's my go to. If not I have a Millennium M100U with muddy pro climbing sticks. I like being mobile.
I switched to crossbow 2 years ago. I shoot a wicked ridge by ten point ranger. i use muzzy trocar 125 gr broadheads. I just started wearing contacts so I may be able to shoot a bow again, i might go by the bow shop and see if my eyes will focus right.

Love Bow season. Pressure from trying to setup and get that close for a shot, pushes so many good deer into our property every year!!!! We can't wait to check cameras after first 2 weeks of Bow.

9 Days
22 Hours
56 Mintutes
35 Seconds
until alpine elk meadows, dark timber, screaming bugles, cold temps, and hopefully 280 fps of 420 grains passing through a 300" bull elk heart/lungs at 30 yards
but who's keeping track

I’ve got a climber and a 2 man ladder stand. Haven’t bow hunted in years but going to try for an 8 pointer rice field buck around Beaumont. He goes nocturnal after The rut and comes back out during daylight right after the season in January.

have several lock-ons and ladders scattered all over our public lands in oak flats, creek crossings etc......might be any one of them depending on the wind and water levels.

Can't wait!
Hunting exclusively from the ground this year. Did the whole tree thing in Thistlethwaite last year...not my thing.
Plus, I've got my eye on a particular deer that frequents an area with no climbable trees.
