What is your favorite broadhead? Anyone ever used ramcats? A friend of mine swears by them. Thinking about trying them.

I have slick tricks. Honestly though, you can't go wrong with just about any type. I don't like mechanicals because of the chance of failure, but they do offer some unbeatable cuts.

I had a rage 3 blade come open during the shot. I heard it rattle and missed baddly. But i killed a few deer and a coyote with them with great results.

I think any modern broadhead that doesn't have blades that bend or break on entry will work about the same. People complain that mechanical blades are more likely to fail and people complain that fixed have worse blood trails. Most of these issues were probably shot placement. Take your pick.

G5 Montec.

I will never go mechanical. 85% of the deer I've helped others track were mechanical shots. 100% of the deer we've never found were mechanical. Honestly, they have been the worst for NOT passing through and therefore leaving no blood trail at all, in my opinion.
