Can anyone recommend cheap boat storage in the NOLA area?

I used to keep my boat in my driveway but the new boat isn't going to fit. Need suggestions.

What area do you fish, might be better options there?

used to be hopedale/shell beach but w/ the new boat will probly fish venice and grand isle more so I can hit rigs on nice days. Don't want to be limited to an area.

There are sheds just south of Capt Larry's in Belle Chasse on hwy 23 and they are building new sheds at Myrtle Grove Marina.

I was in your situation and came to the realization that there is no such thing as "cheap boat storage" in NOLA. I did plenty research and found that it is not cost effective to have a boat storage facility in Jefferson or Orleans parish, due to some insurance laws. I was told that they must insure the square footage of the unit and that enclosed boat storage gets astronomical, so nobody offers it.

Pasternack's storage in Metairie offers indoor storage for smaller boats, but it's expensive.

There is an RV storage place behind the Academy on the West Bank, but they are always full and difficult to get an answer when you call.

Is Seabrook an option for you?

I ended up looking for units in Plaquemines parish, since the cost is more reasonable and I mostly fish down the river anyway.

Settled on Belle Chasse boat and rv storage on Engineers Rd, not far from the Boomtown Casino.

Good luck

Seabrook got ridiculously expensive and the service sucks.

They are opening one on the way to hopedale. May be in violet: toca boat storage i believe it is called.

I’ve looked everywhere and hopedale sheds are the most reasonable I’ve found.
