Not a boat dock blooper but a friend and I were at his deer camp and after a large amount of beer he was gonna unload his 4 wheeler from the trailer. I was sitting in a chair relaxing in the shade and he jumps on the 4 wheeler, starts it, puts it in reverse and commences to hit the throttle. Nothing happened so he increases the throttle and the tires a smokin. I walk over, cause he can't hear me over the engine noise and tap him on the shoulder. I said "you may want to disconnect the 4 wheeler wench from the trailer" Priceless

2 funny stories I have as well about almost fricking up boats but they dont involve a launch:
16th birthday, dad lets me take his brand new boat out with my friends to fish. fishing boca grande pass in florida and have a huge tarpon on that pulls out within inches of huge rocks and my stupid greedy arse says i dont give a frick we aint cuttin the line, well the tide changed and if you have ever fished there it starts moving through like a motherfricker. i had it about half throttle in reverse and it still threw us into a piling that put about a 9 inch crack at the top of the boat. dad wasn't exactly thrilled when i brought his boat back
grand isle a few weeks ago my buddy forgot to check for the plug when he launched the boat and by the time i got to the camp about 2 hours later the boat was about an inch from sinking. only thing that kept it from sinking was he had the power pole down. best thing is his boat is named "clueless" so his new nickname is captain clueless

We got out by means of an airboat, and it took some work to do it with the vacuum on the bottom of the boat and all. That's me in the back looking miserable and my buddy from AL in the front, laughing at me along with the guy who took the picture. The blind is up only to block the wind. No way were we getting anything we shot...
That sucks. At least you had some people around you and you were able to get out of there.

This thread reminds me of a time I found some guy stuck on a sand flat out of Venice. Not sure how he got there but think he got stuck early at high tide and the tide had dropped about 1-2 feet. I offered him a ride somewhere but he said no that's ok that he was going to stay there with his wife and was waiting on someone to come get him.
Think I would have took the ride out of there.

I have a retired man that works part time with me we only use him when we are busy, he left going home a couple Tuesday's ago to mow his yard. When I see him again on Friday at work I ask if he had gotten his yard cut?
He proceeds to tell me he spent 30 minutes trying to crank the mower and ran the battery down, charged it back up and still wouldn't crank, called his neighbor to borrowed his trailer to carry it to the shop because it still wouldn't crank. Then calls his son-in-law to take off from his job to run home to help push the mower up onto the trailer to carry to shop.
He makes his way to the mower shop and rolls the mower off the trailer tells the guy that going to work on it that it will not crank. Mechanic walks over unscrews the gas cap, pours about 1/2 gallon gas in, mower fires right up, and says that will be $20.00 bucks.
Now if that was me and he ask me if I got my yard mowed, I would have just answered yes.

Has anyone seen the video of the idiots trying to run a jet ski into the back of a van?
They backed up so far down the ramp to get to the water line that the van started to float away.
Who needs a trailer for a jetski? Just get an old van.

Yeah, we were worried we would be sitting there till the tide came back up (if we could even get out then) or calling coast guard for a helo evac ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Since when did we start letting details get in the way of a good laugh, and the opportunity to laugh at an Auburn fan?

After a night of heavy drinking by me and my best friend, my Dad and I get up the next morning to do a little squirrel hunting. My buddy is running late, pulls up beside us, jumps out puts tailgate down. Starts wheeler, puts in reverse. Right then is when we saw the fatal error......no ramp on tailgate.
He hits the throttle, we scream, he goes anyway....one point landing on rack of 4 wheeler, flips back with my friend underneath.
We got it off of him, and I do believe I pissed myself from laughing once we knew he was OK.....
Chuckling a little right now just typing it.

Took family out to ski one day. Wife didn't grow up around boats, etc. I backed my boat up to where trailer was just in water, told her to get in and back up till I waved and go park.
She got all that, did great but goes to park. There's ONLY ONE other vehicle/trailer parked in big lot. She chooses to park next to that one and turns too short. Bends fender on my trailer but luckily no damage to other vehicle. I did tell the guy what happened though and had him look at his vehicle to make sure.
