I have 2 actually. From the door of my bedroom, to the front door is right at 55’. From bedroom door the the kitchen is right at 50’.

50’ isn’t that far. Just over 16yds.

I don't think you have ever shot a firearm of any type.

You about to be challenged to a duel at Sonic

Really, a rifle is the best option for self defense, 30 rounds of bullets designed to kill men is probably what you should go with.

if we're being honest, its design to kill a man from close quarters to long range, and every thing in between. Also, collateral damage concerns on a battlefield are not the same as my 4 year old sleeping in the room next door.

so yeah, it'll do the job probably better than most, but there are issues with an AR as a home weapon.

Name one gun that the same issue isn't a problem.

I have a red ryder that will absolutely shoot your eye out but will sometimes bounce off of a beer can, depending on where you hit it.

If you and Downshift meet at Sonic, I think he'll have an advantage with his 00.

But I'm thinking that someone who is as cunning and shrewd as you would still manage to do OK.

come on now. I can name a bunch that the problem is not as drastic. surely nobody on this board would argue that over penetration isnt more likely with a 5.56 or 300blk than it is #4 buck shot or 9mm

Birdshot

Birdshot will easily penetrate multiple interior walls of a typical home, plenty of videos on YouTube demonstrating it.

I would strongly.

Because 9mm or buckshot will penetrate way more walls that 5.56/.223.

Do your research...

This guy used gell before the walls to simulate a human being hit first. I can't format, but the #4 buck stopped in the wall while the 00 passed through. The bird shot didn't leave the gel.

Y'all may have seen this video, or one like it. Cut Shells

Bringing this to the Sonic would result in automatic disqualification.

Cut shells are awesome. I may have experimented with wax slugs and dabbled with some Elmer's glue slugs at some point.

Why?

Because why not.
