EO's to do this:

1) Ban imported ammunition. Cheap imported ammo keeps prices on domestic stuff somewhat reasonable. Stop imports and domestic suppliers can't dream of supplying domestic needs alone. Ammo prices would go absolutely apeshit.

2) Ban the importation of guns and gun parts. Basically the same effect as above.

3) Go after gun manufacturers like they did tobacco. They're already talking about this specifically.

4) Close the gunshow and private sale "loophole."

5) Ban the sale of new 10+ mags at least. Some talk of banning the sale of ALL 10+ mags. If you own them now you're stuck with them; can't sell them.

I've said this a thousand times. The benefit of selling AR's and mags now are obvious. But you're taking one HELL of a chance thinking you can buy cheaper on the backside. You may be the one holding the potato when the music stops.

The same checks and balances that ended Obamacare? Fast & Furious? Benghazi?

I'm very familiar with checks and balances, but does this honestly not raise your level of concern? I doubt they get everything passed at once. Like I said you get them to limit access in one area(mental health) and then expand on it over the next few years. They slip slightly tighter and tighter restrictions in incrementally in various bills over the next few years. And for the most part the media will help them sell it. You never take a right away in one swift motion, you erode it and before you know it's damn near gone.

By what power could he possibly do this? There's no law to that effect.
This is different than the import stuff.

And Rep. Mike Thompson (D-Calif.), the chairman of the House Democrats’ Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, said the magazine ban and universal background checks would be far more effective than an assault weapons ban without the political cost.

“Probably the most recognizable thing you can say in this debate is ban assault weapons,” Thompson said. “But the other two issues” — forbidding high-capacity ammunition magazines and requiring universal background checks for gun purchases — “those two things have more impact on making our neighborhoods safe than everything else combined. Anytime you try and prohibit what kind of gun people has it generates some concern.”

How is it these assholes are not called to the line for blatant lies? Why are they not asked to back their idiotic statements with even a modicum of truth.

Probably the most enraging thing about this entire push to disarm the country is that it is based on the media propaganda idea that "something must be done about this issue" . What issue? Violent crimes and gun crimes are at historic lows. There is no MF'ing issue that needs to be solved! If you are shocked and saddened by the loss of innocent children's lives as I am then maybe, just maybe we should protect those children better than we protect piles of 2x4's and boxes of nails at construction sites overnight. Try posting an armed guard or several. Try allowing teachers to defend themselves and the children if properly trained. There will always be criminals, crazy's, and those with death wishes, pretending we are safe in a little cocoon is foolish.

Texas Republican Rep. Steve Stockman said on Monday that impeachment filings wouldn’t be out of the question if President Obama was to try and institute new gun control policies through executive order, which can bypass Congress to an extent.
They are quick to threaten but when has anyone one of them followed though?

frick i hate this administration more than any other during my lifetime,
gets arse kicked in congress
going for executive order,
what an a-hole. I mean seriously what a complete and total a-hole.
I love all of these laws will have zero affect criminals and their ability to get guns.

oh i wanted to add, another customer and I had a discussion at Sportsmans, yes I am hoarding reloading shite, because this individual stated: that there was no constitutional protection for ammo, that we can own the guns but at 5.00 a bullet price tag etc, and for reloading stuff will be harder or impossible to get etc.
So I am stocking up in a major way. Who knows I get enough stuff I can bootleg rounds for friends when we all cant get bullets in 10 years.

I have about 5,000 and about 3,000 large along with everything needed to reload.

Then again, they went bad.

False. A right that can't be exercised is no right. Would be an unConstitutional burden on the 2A.

You're being forced to pay for health insurance. You really think these bastards care about our ability to exercise our rights?

I think the whole 2A assault and going after HCM is about the financial apocalypse coming down the line.

Much easier to controll the impoverished citizenry with a billion rounds of recently ordered ammo, than a well armed public.

I have my tin hat on today.

Now? It looks like all the chips are falling into place.

And anybody who hasn't been wondering what in the hell all this gun talk has been a smoke screen for ought to reevaluate their priorities.

Catfish sounds good.

Lil' tater salad on the side.

frick me, I don't want to fight a civil war. I wanted to spend the rest of my life playing some nice courses, killing some deer, and catching specs.

Now I've gotta get all John Conner on fed.
