Add me to the badminton racquet club. I keep one hanging on a nail under my carport. You can really generate some racquet head speed with that thing - deadly to wasps and bees and such.
I also have a carpenter bee problem. I wait for a time when they should be inside their holes (early morning or late evening). Seal holes with silicon or caulk - problem solved.

Unionize them?
They won't be nearly as destructive (productive?) after that.

Spray into each hole with WD40, then wait for the carnage. Works every time.

Tried to shoot them with the red rider today only clipped on. I needed a racket. We have a ton of them at the house. The home has some areas that are 35+ feet from the ground. Access is limited...

Maybe even a 20 guage with lite loads

Walked down the neighborhood dock and found the honey hole. One of my neighbor's wooden covers had 20-30 flying around.

I use a net like this and just step on them after they are netted. Every spring I kill dozens.
My former neighbor had a 22 pistol with tiny "bee shot" (his description). He loved the spring and would get drunk as hell and spend the day shooting carpenter bees and putting tiny holes in the side of his house.

Make that wooden trap that was posted. Except the sides dont have to be angled but do drill the side holes upward. You also dont need that bottom bottle. You can find good instructions online. It definitely works.
