During a storm. The rain washes a lot of bait (storm minnows, anyone?) out of the grass and the fish seem to turn on. It sucks being out in a pissing thunderstorm, but we've filled some boxes very quickly when we were stuck in it.

I'm no expert, but I'd say during any period of moving water. Either high or low tide.

It's bad luck to not have a beer before you get through the pass or out of the mouth, depending on which route we take.
