JK Armament cans

Company is a bunch of. scammers. At a shooting event, they filled their cans with petroleum jelly to make them sound quieter than they are. They also launched a few of their shotgun silencers down range on accident. I guess their choke retention sucks. There is nothing innovative about their silencers. Avoid like the plague.

I heard something like that happened at CanCon in Georgia last year.

Didn't realize it was JK Armament.

Not sure one exists for 22lr and .22 centerfire. Usually you have to specify rim vs center fire rifles.

I have a Spectre II and love it. It doesn't have the first round pop issues that the sparrow has. Not sure why Silencerco discontinued it.

I use it on a Savage Mark II FV-SR 22LR and a Ruger Mark IV 22/45. It's movie quiet on the Savage bolt action.

I have friends that have the Mask and they really like them. To my ear, they seem to have about the same amount of decibel suppression.

From their website: “While the JK 105 CCX 9MM can absolutely be run dry, it sounds best run wet with the addition of small amounts of petroleum jelly inside its baffles.”

I don’t think they were trying to pull a fast one like you were insinuating. I don’t know much about them but I can’t find many negative reviews online.

I think that’s hilarious about their shotgun suppressors. Only negative reviews I found were pertaining to their choke system that the can attached too. Maybe that’s why they blew off.

I personally think what they’re doing is innovative and other companies will surely mimic.

Yes they were. A lot of silencers can run wet. It shouldn’t be that they only sound tolerable when wet. You won’t find many negative reviews because they pay people.

They are not innovate. They have some of the simplest baffle designs ever. Companies like PTR, HuxWrx, CGS, Thunderbeast, and CAT are actually innovating with better baffle technology.

Who else makes a modular, external baffle system? I ask because I don’t know.

They literally have a whole section on their website talking about using vaseoline. LINK. I don’t know how they would be trying to fool people?

Sig, Q, dead air, odin works, PWS. Not a huge selling point on a silencer for me. But that's not even what I'm talking about. They use mostly aluminum baffles and their baffle geometry is very simple. No innovation there.

Let me ask you this, would you buy a silencer knowing it is only quiet while using ablatives? If I sold you a silencer and told you how quiet it was and you agreed and buy one and shoot it and realized it was stupid loud without liquid poured into it, would you be upset? I would. A silencer that relies on liquid to be quiet means it sucks.

DA mask all the way for me. It’s quiet and simple to clean.
