I'm looking for something pretty as well as good for performance.

Could be either 270 or 308

it will probably be my next gun since I have enough with synthetic stocks. I like the bergaras too tho

I do not want a synthetic stock.

I mean I have nothing against them but I personally don't have any "pretty" guns and I'm actually in the position where I can buy one now.

I want wood and steel

Also look at the RUGER M77 line. They use a lot of good looking Laminate stocks. Solid rifle.

That's what my brother and dad both shoot. Damn good guns but, and maybe I'm an a-hole, if I can out do them then all the better

Should be able to find some good A-bolt Medallions still around.

I have one in 270 and hate that i've beat it to death actually hunting with it.

Can’t go wrong with a browning A-bolt smooth and accurate.

i really like how the winchester featherweights look too. I have an older model 70 that is a cheaper version and it shoots well

Tikka is the only answer

Hunter version with walnut stock can be had for 700ish

Eta-forest version looks pretty damn good

No offense to these other posts, but my tikka shoots circles around the abolts and m70s I've shot. But that just my personal experience.

Bergara would be my second choice

Every Remmy 700 I've ever owned has shot lights out... Tikka is a shooter too.

I enjoy a nice lever action rifle. If you like them check out the Browning BLR. I have one in 7mm08 and it’s a beautiful gun.
