Hey guys I’m in need of stood recommendations on a new beach wagon. I been using a cheap academy special with narrow rubber wheels and it just isn’t cutting it anymore. Also need something that will travel well.

There are so many variables. Size? Budget? Does it need to fold?

Basics, and you know this, get the BIGGEST tires you can. I think the bigger rounder wheels do better than the wide flat wheels if you are going through loose sand.

This one off Amazon has served us well. Big arse wheels roll easy, and it collapses easily when not in use.

We have the same one with black frame and red fabric. It works great, but it’ll tip over if you have too much weight up front, and the guy pulling it is tipsy.

Beach wagons are terrible. We go to orange beach once or twice a year and wife is 100% convinced the beach wagon is sooo convenient. Yet She has never tried to pull it through sand loaded down with every beach toy imaginable Ice chest and two young kids. “Don’t mind the mule. Load the wagon”. I swear when we rent those beach chairs they always put us on the farthest one on the end. I decided next year I may “forget” to pack the wagon and just make a couple trips down from the room. Gotta be easier than the damn wagon....

Edit to add:
We have one with fat tires. Still sucks

For carrying stuff to the beach in general or a surf fishing Cart?

Could spend the money and replace the wheels if the cart is otherwise functional.

Warning, these are not cheap but work fantastic, particularly on soft, loose sand.

This fishing cart works for beach gear too. Particularly if you get the liner for it. I think you may be able to find it cheaper than this.

Agree 100%. I hesitated for several years and finally broke down. Zero regrets for that purchase.

I was about to say the big grey polyurethane wheels are the absolute best, but you guys beat me to it.

I had that model, sent that shite right back to Amazon. I don't care what anyone says, but those wheels don't work in soft sugar sand. You got to get those big balloon wheels, that's all that will work in that type of sand.
