Bass Pro Shops explores bid for Cabela's - sources

Please no, I like having both stores in town

I hope it doesn't happen. Cabelas hunting and clothing products are superior to Red Head and bass pro has the better fishing selection.

So if I'm understanding this correctly, Bass Pro is looking at buying Cabela's?

I have tree-fiddy also, who else is in?

Haha, my pockets are pretty shallow right now. I think I've spent enough at bass pro that I should at least be a board member, so maybe I can tug on some strings. lmao!!

Not sure how I feel about that. I like having both. I do most of my shopping at Bass Pro, and I like the redhead brand. But there are things at Cabela's that I think are much better than Bass Pro, and there are certain things that I go there for over Bass Pro.

Maybe they will buy them but retain all of the stores. Keep them as separate entities, but owned by the same company. I don't see how that could be a bad thing.

If the bargain cave goes away, I will break shite.

Hope they keep both stores open if it happens. Cabela's has a much better shooting/ reloading selection than Bass Pro.

Also, I can almost always find the ammo that I'm looking for at Cabela's. Not so much at BP
