Anyone have experience with these mowers? I'm in the market for a new zero turn and they seem legit and decently priced.
Any reviews good or bad will help. Thx.

Rough as hell. Hope your Kidneys are good. Get a Gravely or a Ferris

A lot better options for the money.

sounds like you haven't shopped around much if you cant think of a rival to Bad Boy mowers at a similar price point.

Hustler and Skagg are in the same boat with Bad Boy. Rough as hell to operate.

Very rough. But overbuilt in a lot of ways.
I have a shite TON of hours on my 4ft cut.
Replace blades and belts once a year and bearings every three years. Oil and filter once a year with a big filter and mobil1 synthetic.
4ish acres at least once a week.

I wouldn't get a Bad Boy. It all depends on your budget.
John Deeres with the 7 Iron deck are awesome. Scags with the Velocity deck are very good. But both are going to cost quite a bit. A Ferris will have the best ride (IFS) but not mow quite as well. An Exmark or a Grasshopper are quality mowers with good decks.
If you are on a tight budget and have a somewhat local dealer, you can get an Exmark for under $5k.

unless your yard is full of ruts and roots don't worry about what people are saying about the ride of the mower. I don't care if you have a Ferris with full suspension, you're going to fell that shite if you're cutting at 10 mph.
Get whatever mower you want and slow it down a little bit if you have a rough lawn.

Are just a few like another poster said.
Huge issue is getting parts to service customers.
They are one of the worst brands to do service work for.
They all break. It is getting the customers unit in to the shop, diagnosing the problem, getting warranty approval, getting parts if it is out of my stock, and fixing it right to get it out the door.
They are one of the worst mfg’s to deal with which delays us fixing the unit and getting it out the door to make a customer happy.

My Dad bought one a few years after Bad Boy came out, could not keep belts and pulleys on it. Sold it to buy a residential exmark, that was 7 years ago and had zero problems from the exmark. I would not buy a Bad Boy. Just my 2 cents.

But everything on mine is an off the shelf generic parts.
I could build the whole mower off of amazon prime
But belts and bearings are the only things I've replaced.

I have the 60" Bad Boy. 3 years with it and no problems. And yes, I even bushhog with it.

Same here. 60 CZT, bought in 2014 and have changed nothing but the oil/filter. Still on the original belt and spindle bearings, manage about 3 acres.

72" Bad Boy Outlaw XP.
11 Acres residential use, mow it like I stole it.
5 years and counting
Went under in the 2016 flood.
1 replacement belt, 2 replacement idler pulleys. 1 Front wheel spindle bearing. Very, very easy to find parts online.
All other maintenance per the book.
Great mower, replaced a 60" bad boy when I bought the additional acreage.

Lost a bad boy due to thievery but had zero issues cutting 4ac a week with not the smoothest yard. I had the opportunity to buy an exmark for 700 more in the same size and did it bc there is service provider close. Aside from close proximity for service I would have gladly saved the 700 and got another bad boy. The exmark is pretty bad arse but it’s hard for me to say it’s 700 better.

Get that zero turn with the ac.

OP didn't mention how much he's got to cut/frequency of use; would help!
Was in market this spring for residential use, corner lot, about 0.5 acre of cutting. Got down to Big Dog (a slightly upgraded Hustler painted red) and Snapper Pro S40. Ended up going with the Snapper Pro and been really happy with it so far since April.
Couldn't justify the extra money for SCAG getting very little, if anything additional for the money (~$400), and a less comfortable seat.
