Good luck tying anything I post here to an actual persons identity.

I can tell you that would take all of about 30 seconds to prove.

trump has failed everyone that supports 2A rights. with the bump stock ban and now allowing the atf to run like they have been, he obviously better hope that 2A proponents have a short memory if he tries to run again.

Yeah, to say he has been a disappointment regarding the 2A is an understatement. The Second Amendment Coalition he announced right before 2016 election day never even met once.

It doesn't matter though. He will be out of the Executive branch in about a month. The political fight now is back to where it was when Obama was in office - the houses of Congress Republicans control.

You can go to the NRA-PVF or GOA's website to see how your rep is on the 2A if you don't know already.

So they still want to put you on a list, they just aren't going to make you pay for it, this time.

He has been pretty negligent when it comes to defending our 2A rights. When he nominated Barr for AG, I opposed Bill Barr's appointment as he has some anti-2nd Amendment stances, including supporting and proposing a national registry for firearms owners.

I wrote my reps and senators but it didn't do much good. I just contacted both my senators and rep today about the ATF, but I doubt I'll get anything more than lip service from all 3.

So basically, instead of having a written law, the NFA will decide at their own discretion if a firearm falls under the pistol or rifle classification. Perfect.

Yep. It is all BS.
If the Polymer 80 situation a couple weeks ago didn't tell anyone how much they are over reaching and making arbitrary rules/changes, I am unsure what will.
They need not to exist.

The issue I think is people these days do not understand what or why we have 2A. They are washed by the media and they react on emotion. Politicians and these people in power prey on people reacting based on emotion to push garbage laws/regulations thru. A good example is the GCA68 in response to the Kennedy assassination, or more recently the bump stock ban in response to the 2017 Vegas shooting. People have became willing to give up what they think are "little things" (like bump stocks or braces) for the false feeling of doing good or that it is the right thing to do. You give politicians an inch and they will take a mile.

If people continue to allow these things to happen and reacting on emotion we can kiss all fire arms goodbye one day. It may sound crazy now but this country has went from killing commies to now willing to give up their fire arm rights in 300 years. 2A is clear IMO. We should be able to walk in to a store, buy a automatic firearm with a silencer, and walk out.

One of the few weak spots of the Trump presidency was not doing more to protect our 2A rights. Should have disbanded the ATF.

The thing I'd say to that is this-

They like to say that stuff in the movies, too. And they've been saying it for awhile.

I tend not to believe the hype about how secure and invisible these services make us, and how 'hackers' can defeat the government's efforts. That might have been the case 2 decades ago, I doubt it has remained so.
