Both Tumblr and Horl are having sales. Any reviews are referrals are appreciated. Thanks.

I was given a Tumblr as a birthday present last year.

I was skeptical but it turns out that it works really well.

I have the knock off from ebay and it is fine for decent size pocket and chef knives but doesn't work well on small pocket knives.

Great on kitchen knives but anything small doesn’t really sharpen.

I guess directly from them. I've been getting ads nonstop for a Memorial Day sale for two weeks on my phone. Them and Tumblr.

I had one (tumbler), too much sugar for a dime imo. Bulky and hard to store. One thing I didn’t think about before taking it to goodwill is how does it account for blade taper?

My granny had one of these:

It definitely doesn’t look like it will work well on small blades. For me; I’m looking for something quick, easy and foolproof for kitchen knives. I had a sharpening service I used for many years; but, they recently changed ownership and I now have some ruined blades. Think it’s time to manage them myself. I nabbed the Horl 3. It gets good reviews; I’ll see how it does.

I switched to japanese wet stones and never looked back. Took a minute to learn the right angles and watched a few videos. My edges on my good knives are super sharp.
