A PSE was my first single cam bow back in 96.

They're perfectly fine and alot of times, you can get them on clearance.

All new bows are good. It comes down to feel and how much you really want to spend.

Yes. They offer a wide variety and have some of the faster bows on the market. Go shoot them though. A lot of people, myself included, don’t care for the grips. However, I think this year’s models have addressed that issue.

My first bow was a PSE, no issues with it but they were once known as Pull Shoot Explode or Pieces Scattered Everywhere, don’t know about now...

Owned four PSE's back in my early ASA shooting days. Won state championships with two of them. Never had one go on me and I was really pushing IBO min's with regard to arrow weight on my set-ups.

That said, I know nothing about the newer models. If buying today I would most likely stick to Mathews, Hoyt and Bowtech, or one of their off-shoots.

And FTR, you've never seen a bow blow up ANYTHING like the two Oneida's I have seen let loose. Looked like a damn frag grenade going off with chit flying EVERYWHERE. But man whenn they held together they were the quietest and most accurate bows you could imagine.

Sounds like a lot of you are talking about the old PSE's. They've revamped their whole lineup over the past 2 years or so and I would put them up against any manufacturer in the market. I shot a lot of different bows 2 years ago when I was in the market for a new one, and I settled on a PSE Evolve. This is the smoothest, quietest shooting bow I've ever owned. Their old lineups had super fast bows but very harsh draw cycles. The new ones were completely re-engineered.

With that said, go to a bow shop and shoot multiple bows and find the one that feels right to you.

I just got rid of my PSE. As others have stated they are super fast bows. My biggest problem was the bow felt very jerky shooting it and that is because of the horsepower these bows have. I wanted a smoother shooting bow but it’s all about personal preference.

I shoot a PSE XFORCE AXE 6 and I love it. Probably not the smoothest bow but I haven’t shot another bow since 2011 so I’m used to mine. It’s really fast too which helps me because I have a short draw length. If you’re looking for a smooth bow, I hear Mathews is hard to beat.

I just watched a few reviews on the nxt 31 and damn that thing is pretty fast and seemed regarded as smooth with really good backwall. Love that it comes in first lite fusion as well. Gonna have to test fire it

I have a 07 PSE Stinger. It’s been a great bow. I have no complaints.

I shoot a 2012 PSE Bow Madness XS. It's not a Hoyt by any means but I'm accurate with it and its pretty quick.

I've owned several bows,ONE PSE. Bow shot great off the rack. It was quite, fast, recoil and vibration free for the era. But when I got it built out and started setting the sights I learned the darn thing was possessed. It'd shoot a nice three arrow groups a couple rounds then randomly send one 9-12" to the left. Had to be a forgiveness issue but I never pinned down the problem with my form. it's never showed up with any bows before or after that one bow. I named it The PSE from Hell

Lol I always heard "Pretty Shotty Equipment"...

Anyways, they are some decent bows now. Everything now is fairly decent. Everyone has preferences... the PSEs remind me of Bears. Not terrible, but not great (IMO)
