I am looking at getting a new side by side. Anyone on the Outdoor Board have experience with the Can Am Side by Sides? Are they worth the 15-20k they ask for them?

My cousin bought the two seater. Rides like a boat.

15K for a bike, maybe...but there isn't much he's gonna do with I can't on my Rancher.

This is what I was thinking. So my answer is NO. None of them are "worth" the money. They are nice tho.

Well, he can do 60 and drink coffee on the way to the stand. Woopityfrickindoo.

Yeah, they're nice. But I could buy two ranchers for what he spent.

I was thinking more along the lines of hauling stuff like a bed is intended for. I've had 2 rhinos in the past and a Ranger now. I've had a few 4 wheelers too. After owning a side x side I'll never go back to a 4 wheeler. It's nice being able to load the decoys, guns, dog, and bags plus have room for a hunting buddy. Not many ranchers gonna do that..... Big plus side to the ranchers though is that if you get it stuck you might be able to get out with out a winch.

I looked at the can-ams, the fact that on the website they only offer red or yellow in most cases sucks. Been thinking about getting a Polaris Sportsman 400. Any of you own one?

ETA: I dont need or want a side-by-side.

I would say this is a prime case of diminishing marginal return. The can-am is a bad mamma jamma and if you got money to blow and want the baddest bike out here you go. If the extra performance, features, specs, etc are not worth 5000 more then no it isn't worth the money.

They're good machines but the fuel injection is nice to have.

Also, I thought that I didn't need a sxs and bought a 4 wheeler. I really loved it, but when it burned I got a Ranger 500 efi and couldn't imagine having anything else.

When I think of Can Ams, all I can think about is this:

Those are actually pretty fun to ride. You don't have to be embarassed to be seen on them either.

Anybody else got non-stop Outlander ads for $10K on their screen?

Well I only have myself that I hunt with, and POSSIBLY 1 other person when I'm going deer hunting. Other times, I'm on land where everybody else has a 4 wheeler to get to their stand anyway. I can't justify spending $10k+ on a SxS at the moment.

I can understand and appreciate that. My sxs was $1500 more than the replacement 4 wheeler I was planning on getting (550 sportsman)
