Been looking at one for general use. Reviews seem to be pretty positive.

I have 3, gave 2 to sons and kept one. I haven’t used it yet but feels very sound in the hand!

I have 4 or 5 of them, they are scary sharp right out of the box,and take a fine edge when sharpening is needed.I have some expensive knives that don't clean up as well as these knives.Great low cost knives to put in the boat, truck,ATV,and hunting sack.

I got Mrs. Midnight one so she would have a fixed blade in her standard kit. It is an insane amount of knife for $12 to $15.

I've probably got 8 or 10 of them. Great knife, especially for the price. They come in either carbon or stainless. They have a cult following that rehandles them with custom leather sheaths to make some very nice knives. I've been wanting to step up to Garberg model.

Best bang for the buck. I wish they had a lil more belly for skinning but I cleaned a deer and pig this wknd along with onions bell peppers and cut smoked sausage.
I have better knives but that knife stays in the door of my truck so it gets used a ton. A couple hits on the spyderco sharpener and it will be back scary sharp.

I have both. I prefer the carbon.

I have the SS but will get a carbon next time I see one. I use this one for things I wouldn’t think of using my dedicated skinning knives for (wire stripping, scraping) but it can handle skinning and boning when needed.

There are "mod" videos to make the spine of the basic Mora Companion suitable as a ferro rod striker.

You know when folks are modding a $12 knife, you're onto something.

We got the stainless, but I will probably add some carbon. Stainless probably better for food service or any application where it will stay wet (or get deferred maintenance). The carbon is probably going to be better for tasks you will be frequently sharpening it. Although it is not an ideal knife for any of these tasks, it does a lot of things very, very well for the price.

Wife bought me the Companion model. Works very well, pretty sharp out of the box. Only thing I haven't done with it yet is batoning wood. Great option for the money.

I have 5. 4 of them carbon and 1 ss. Throw a patina on the carbon blade and it's the best knife for the money out there.

Thanks to all the positive comments here, I just ordered three. Had no idea that I even needed a new knife, let a lone 3 of them.
