Specifically the 2 stroke with the detachable accessories. I have an Echo that’s about 12-13? years old. It still runs but not great. I’m sure I can get it running better but I’m really interested in the detachable system.

Is the Ryobi quality decent? I know Echo makes the same system priced just a little higher.

I have the four stroke with the detachable parts and once it falls apart, I will be going with another brand

its was great and cheap, lasted a few years, but parts constantly break off

I have had one for a little over a year. It just feels cheap. The only thing I like about it is how easy it is to restring your line.

Everything else is shitty.

I've had one in the past. It lasted a year like most of the cheaper weedeaters do. Get a Stihl or Echo.

Go Stihl, Echo or Husqvarna. I have the Husqvarna lawn mower, weed eater and blower and have never had any issues. I keep up the maintenance on them and they have all been great. Ryobi is junk. Just spend the extra money and get a better quality machine. In the long run it is worth it.

I do, the joint on the shaft of that interchangeable system can strip out so be wary of that.

I have one thats about 10 years old, and i've always run Trufuel through it. Cranks after 2-3 pulls every.single.time.

ETA - looks like i'm a lucky fella.

Have had one going on 5 years. I have the weed eater, edger, and blower attchements- all work great. I’ve borrowed the pole saw attachment before and it worked great too. I have not had near the bad experience everyone else has had. Thing has never been hard to start, nothing has broken. I run just tru-fuel in it. It’s not an echo, but it does great for what I need.

Edit- reading more replies, y’all must be hard on some damn equipment! or cut grass for a living

The only thing I like about mine is it half the weight of my Echo edger, probably why it feels so cheap also

I've had mine for about 4 years now. Use the weedeating and edging attachments. Never had a problem that wasn't self inflicted.

Right now my edger and blower are electric.
That extension cord is getting old. I was at Home Depot yesterday and the Ryobi had all kinds of attachments I didn’t see for the other brands. Limb saw. Mini tiller. Brush cutter. I know Exho is of decent quality so I will probably stick with that.

Have mine for about 5 years, with the edger and tiller attachment. Have to run it on half choke but it still works. Would not recommend the tiller attachment, just doesn't have enough power to turn the blades.

I have these two

Both are 40v tools. I think the weedeater is a little underpowered, but it is good enough for what little yard I have (1/3 acre).

The blower is awesome though. Very strong

I had a ryobi 2 cycle engine that died after about 5 years. I bought several attachments and bought a Toro head from HD and it runs all the ryobi attachments. I've been happy with the Toro.

I have the exact one you are talking about. Also have the blower and edger attachments. Absolutely love them. I take good care of my stuff (clean it up once im done, grease etc)

Knock on wood, but would def recommend. Especially for the price. Good luck
