You can never have enough

Everything was trending downward at a good pace until that fricking Russian ammo ban. I was starting to see steel 9mm and 7.62 in the 20-30 cent range for the first time in a while.
Complete bullshite. fricking us gun owners but the federal government will move heaven and earth so women can terminate unborn children at their discretion.
But to answer your question what do you consider a decent price? I think you can get steel 9mm for 30-40 cents a round.

Yeah I figured 30-40c range would be best case scenario but I haven't seen any. Everything is around 50c that I'm seeing.

Academy has Norma training ammo for $0.39 a round. Hard to find better than that today.

normashooting.com had 50rds 115gr or 124gr for 19.99 plus code 1902 gives you 5% more off and free shipping over $50. There is tax but no quantity limits,
They also have 147gr FMJ .308 for $15.99 for 20 with the same discount and free shipping.

It was falling fast, too. AK steel was down to about 27cpr, 223 steel down to about 30cpr, hell, I even saw brass 556, good stuff, put on sale literally the day before the ban for 50cpr and free shipping. The next day, back up to 60 cpr and no free shipping.
The retailers were seeing the demand really slow down and had to start enticing folks to buy again.... They were email blasting ammo sales for weeks. Not now, but it's still nowhere near what it was. Non-spwcialty stuff can be had for 60 cpr all day at academy and bass pro.
Most all 9mm is around 40cpr...not ideal, but doable.

Ammoseek.com, not sure why people don't use the internet more. Most of the time you will find ammo cheaper than the big box stores. I still support my local gun store by going to the range, buying their targets, and having them work on my guns. But I'm not going to pay .50 a rd for 9mm when I can get the same exact ammo for .30 a rd online.

Academy has aluminum for $14.99 for 50.
They let me buy extra boxes because they had so much of it

Depends on what you consider decent.
Bought 2,000 124 gr, 9mm from “ammo shop online” @$378 per 1,000. That is taxes and free shipping which works out to .378 per round. Not bad for 124 gr.
Out local Rural King has CCI Blazer brass, 115 gr. box of 100 for $32, they have Norma ($22), Venom ($23) and Winchester Silvertip ($14 per 20).
Some if the smaller local places have stuff and I’ll buy from those who don’t gouge. Even if they are a but higher, I’ll support them but those that sell for $30-50 per box can just keep it.

That seems like a good deal.
I have been running across winchester 100 rd range packs $36 and 200 rd $72 at academy occasionally.
Academy on airline had 100 rd the other day.
I havent seen any 7.62 at academy in weeks now. Not sure if they will get anymore. I was able to grab around 2000 rounds after the russian ammo ban by hustling for it. All i see in russian steel at acadmey is 9mm and .223 but the prices are too high imho.
