Looks good though

Sure does. I'm not spray painting mine but I like the look. Mine would end up like this:

I spray painted my 870 because I got sick of it rusting. I got the cheapest one (870 express) with the cheap parkerized finish so I expected it. Used a rattle can of Rustoleum camouflage in OD green.

Wears off pretty easily but I expected that.

I'll post a picture when I'm not on my phone.

That's a not going back mod. Wouldn't try it myself.

I have another forum I frequent but you have to sign up to see the boards. They have a tutorial of what exactly you need to do and how to do it.

The thread is on the stud board.

I'm not going to do it. I just wanted to know who has done it. I do like the look though. I just don't think paint would hold up at all.

It wears off, eventually but holds up well enough and it is enough to reapply the paint. Most people use the aervoe paint.

I took my old rusted up 870, converted it to home defense and sanded it down and used a duracoat shake and spray kit to paint mine. It seems to be holding up pretty good, just a little wear on the action.

Oh, so now 'plasti-dipping' your rifle is a good idea? I see. Camo tan huh? If only I used emoticons....

It's camouflage. There is a difference between making your weapon blend in with your surroundings and painting the wheels on a vehicle. And it's not plasti-dip. It's spray paint.

Why don't you use emoticons? They don't come in desert tan?
